HAPPY BIRTH... EH DEATHDAY TO THE GREAT BARD

Queen Elizabeth just finished celebrating her 80th birthday. But amidst all celebrations one would almost forget the birthday of someone who is perhaps Britain's most famous icon: the Great Bard also known as William Shakespeare. Although there is no actual record of his birth in Stratford-upon-Avon, his baptism was recorded by the church. Thus his birthday is assumed to be 23rd April 1564. Eery detail, the man died in 1616, again, on 23rd April.

Sonnet XVIII
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this,
And this gives life to thee.
